Physical Therapy Assistants (PTA) will assist one or more physical therapists in evaluating and providing treatment to help patients recover from injury, disease, surgery, or other ailments.
Settings available: Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
**Rate is dependent on setting, experience, and employment status**
**Must have valid NYS Physical Therapy Assistant license**

Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) tasks will include, but not limited to:
- Prepares patients and equipment for therapy and implements treatment plans as instructed, including exercise, stretching maneuvers, hands-on therapy, and equipment.
- Record patient's reaction to treatment and provides status reports at the end of each treatment.
- Making modifications to treatments as directed by the physical therapist to help the patient progress or to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Use devices, such as walkers, and other equipment to help patients regain movement and reduce pain.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology
- Previous experience in acute care and sub-acute care
- Ability to work with diverse patient populations, including geriatrics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction
Salary : $30 - $40
