We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Camp Counselor to join our team. As a Camp Counselor, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, well-being, and enjoyment of campers while leading a variety of fun and engaging activities. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to foster a positive and supportive environment for campers of all ages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct Supervision of Campers: Actively monitor and supervise campers during all activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Planning and Leading Activities: Develop and implement a diverse range of activities such as sports, games, arts and crafts, swimming, outdoor exploration, and more, tailored to different age groups and interests.
- Group Management: Foster a positive group dynamic by facilitating team-building exercises, encouraging collaboration, and addressing any conflicts or issues among campers.
- Communication with Parents: Regularly update parents on camper progress, address concerns, and maintain open, consistent communication to ensure a positive camp experience.
- Emergency Response: Be prepared to handle emergencies, follow established safety protocols, and provide first aid when necessary.
- Maintaining Camp Facilities: Assist in keeping camp areas clean, organized, and safe for all campers and staff.
- Enforcing Camp Rules: Clearly communicate and uphold camp policies and guidelines to campers, ensuring a respectful and safe environment.
- Adapting to Individual Needs: Identify and support campers with special needs or dietary restrictions, providing individualized attention and care when needed.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children (camp experience is a plus).
- First aid and CPR certification preferred (training may be provided).
