Lead Electrical Engineer

INFINITEK are supporting a major personal product manufacturer in their search for a Electrical Engineer to oversee electrical systems and drive innovation in energy management at their state-of-the-art facility. This role will play a pivotal part in maintaining plant infrastructure, supporting equipment upgrades, and optimizing energy consumption.

Key Responsibilities of a Lead Electrical Engineer
- Manage the design, specification, and installation of electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgear, MCCs, motors, and controls.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for power distribution and lockout processes.
- Maintain and improve the plant's electrical infrastructure by collaborating with maintenance teams.
- Spearhead plant upgrades and new equipment installations.
- Coordinate design, specification, and installation of mechanical systems such as conveyors and pumps.
- Monitor project costs, schedules, and deliver timely updates to stakeholders.
- Supervise equipment commissioning and construction activities.
- Lead energy savings initiatives and collaborate with the local electrical power provider.
- Work with maintenance and operations teams to enhance equipment performance and ensure plant efficiency.
Skill Requirements for Lead Electrical Engineer:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Associate’s Degree in Engineering Technology
- Minimum 5 years' relevant experience
- Experience with building automation, energy control systems, commissioning, and energy savings calculations
- Working knowledge of MS Office and MS Project
- Knowledge of Energy Management Program Development
- PLC and Instrumentation experience preferred
