At INFINITEK, we're seeking an experienced Mechanic to join our team in partnership with a global mining client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Rebuild and repair mine and construction equipment, including powertrain, final drive, brakes, and suspension systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair mining and support equipment in the field.
- Detect and fix hydraulic systems used in mining equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair 12/24-volt electrical systems.
- Diagnose and repair electrical systems on diesel-electric haulage and loading equipment.
- Work on air and hydraulic brake systems for mining, construction, or comparable equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines.
- Maintain accurate daily repair reports detailing work performed.
- Communicate job status to incoming shift mechanics and shop supervisors.
- Operate maintenance diagnostic systems and shop computers.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working on mining equipment.
- Ability to interpret maintenance manuals and parts schematics.
- Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Maintenance of Mine Safety & Health Administration (MSHA) certification.
