Due to continued growth, a Production Manager is required to join the fast paced plant in Sumas, Washington.
Responsibilities That Make a Difference
**Leadership and Coaching:** Inspire and lead the company's production supervisors and employees to excel in safety, quality, cost-efficiency, and service excellence.
**Quality Focus:** Partner with the Quality Control Coordinator to ensure the products meet and exceed customer expectations through continuous improvement.
**Operational Excellence:** Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor to maintain equipment reliability and efficiency through Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) strategies.
**Efficient Scheduling:** Work closely with the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor to optimize the manufacturing schedule, ensuring top-notch customer service.
**People Development:** Foster a highly engaged workforce through HR initiatives, performance management, and employee development.
**Continuous Improvement:** Lead the charge in implementing Lean Manufacturing concepts like Kaizen events, driving improvements across the board.
**Training and Development:** Ensure effective employee training in quality, safety, and processes, nurturing a skilled and knowledgeable team.
**Organizational Excellence:** Maintain a clean and organized plant environment, promoting excellence through a 5S program.
Requirements for Success
**Educational Prowess:** A Bachelor's degree in a technical field is essential.
**Supervisory Experience:** You should bring at least 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
**Six Sigma Certification:** While not mandatory, Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification is a big plus
**Leadership Skills:** Exceptional leadership and team-building abilities are a must.
**Continuous Improvement Champion:** Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing and driving operational enhancements.
**Problem Solver:** Hands-on problem-solving skills and a knack for team building.
**Analytical Mindset:** You should possess planning, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
