You will inspect, test, repair, clean, service aircraft composite components and assemblies (Flight control surfaces, TRs, Engine Cowls, composites components for commercial aircraft) per Customer/FAA/EASA requirements/rules/regulations and approved data. Initiate and document any nonconforming materials, hardware, tools, parts, assemblies, or portions thereof, according to specifications, processes, and procedures. Perform composite lay-up, repairs, and alterations to approved technical data. The role also requires extensive composite experience in composite parts fabrication, and structural assembly process for both repair and fabrication.

RAA

  • Cut materials per the work order, lay up the cut materials into a panel construction per the work order.
  • High-performance composite parts fabrication using prepreg carbon materials.
  • Work on bonded and fastened composite assemblies.
  • Layup and infusion of carbon fiber for composite parts.
  • Understanding of ply orientations and vacuum bagging processes.
  • Operate autoclave, hydraulic presses, and ovens to complete bonding cycle.
  • Techs will be required to sign for work accomplished and ensure proper recording of all fab/repair tasks on company documents.
  • Ensures that all repair work is performed according to procedures and per correct document revision
  • Comply with all company rules, regulations, and procedures set forth in company manuals and policies.
  • Keep a constant watch for safety, excessive cost of labor duplication, ensure proper and adequate equipment is used, acceptable parts or components are installed, and approved hardware or supplies are used.
  • Techs will be responsible for keeping the work area clean and may be required to maintain or repair company property from time to time.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships and collaboration with other employees.
  • Develop personal skills for continuous improvement.

Qualifications


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 5 years in relevant industry.
  • Perform tooling prep work and hand lay-up of prepreg materials.
  • Knowledge of basic inspection equipment.
  • Able to lift assemblies weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Maintain work area in a neat, orderly, and organized manner.
  • Have no known allergies to epoxies or other composites materials.
  • Must be able to verbally communicate, read and comprehend written and verbal instructions, detailed blueprints and other similar authorized drawings and documents, and be capable of doing basic mathematical calculations.
  • Oven, autoclave, laser projection, and automated ply cutting equipment operator experience.
  • Must be able to work alone, without direction, and with minimal supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal and ability to work in cooperation with diverse teams.

Salary : $26 - $34
