Warehouse Handler position at Infinity Contracting Services Corp. is responsible for managing company inventory of tools, equipment, and material between the main office and local construction job sites; preparing and handling incoming/outgoing deliveries of material and equipment; maintenance of warehouse facility; daily housekeeping and equipment maintenance.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly shop equipment maintenance
- Exercise daily housekeeping tasks within the warehouse and around the company’s property
- Keep the warehouse clean and organized
- Maintain break room and warehouse pathways free of debris
- Manage shop dumpsters and sort debris between regular waste, wood, and metal
- Keep sidewalks parking lot clean of snow and ice during winter seasons
- Prepare various shipments for delivery, use pallets, shrink wrap, etc.
- Load and unload equipment, materials, and other articles of trade
- Receive, stage and store articles in an organized manner
- Operate forklift, overhead crane, and pallet jack to handle heavy loads
- Send notifications to the project team about received deliveries
- Interpret fabrication sketches
- Identify and prepare materials needed for fabrication
- Operate hand tools and shop equipment
- Prepare final product for delivery and inform all stakeholders upon task completion
- Maintain Tool Room and Material Room organized
- Prepare orders issued by Shop Manager for dispatch
- Inspect incoming and outgoing ICSC owned equipment and tools for operation and safety compliance
- Monitor and restock various materials to maintain a minimum stock
- Maintain mandatory Personal Protective Equipment in the Shop area
- Facilitate and enforce safety requirements covered in the Shop Manual
- Obtain training before operating new tools and/or equipment
Qualifications and Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year of construction related experience
- Excellent time management skills
- Self-disciplined
- Safety oriented
