Overall job objective :
The Mechanical Design Engineer I's main responsibility is to create parts, assemblies, and drawings with a high amount of supervision and guidance.
Responsibilities :
Create part, assembly, and detail drawings.
Create, release, and modify BOM's.
Complete mechanical assembly and pre-build books.
Create drawings and models that conform to IMEC standards.
Shared Responsibilities :
Make design and engineering continuous improvement suggestions to the engineering team.
Make design and engineering cost improvement suggestions to the engineering team.
Create, maintain, and present on mechanical engineering standards topics.
Travel to customer sites as needed.
Qualifications :
Education : Associate's degree in mechanical design or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience : Recommended to have 0-2 years of relatable work experience. Must have a high mechanical aptitude with a focus on independent problem solving and have above average personal expectations. Must be able to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally to internal and external customers.
