Overall job objective:
Infinity Machine and Engineering is looking for a Mechanical Engineer with specialized experience in designing tab chain, MatTop, and MDR (Motor Driven Rollers) systems in the tissue industry. As a key member of our team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the design and optimization of mechanical systems used in tissue manufacturing and handling processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design, with proficiency in AutoCAD/Inventor 3D modeling preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Mechanical Design: Lead the design and development of tab chain, MatTop, and MDR systems specifically for the tissue industry, ensuring robust, reliable, and efficient designs that meet project specifications.
- Engineering Analysis: Conduct in-depth mechanical calculations, including stress analysis, load analysis, and component sizing, to guarantee system integrity and performance. .
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, project managers, and production teams, to ensure mechanical systems integrate seamlessly with other system components.
- Prototyping and Testing: Create prototypes, conduct testing, and refine designs based on test results to enhance the performance, reliability, and efficiency of systems.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Identify and resolve technical issues during design, manufacturing, and installation phases, providing solutions to minimize downtime and improve system reliability.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed design specifications, drawings, and technical reports using AutoCAD/Inventor 3D modeling and other software tools, ensuring clarity and accuracy in all project documentation.
- Compliance: Ensure designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and customer-specific requirements for the tissue manufacturing industry.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute innovative solutions for design improvements, cost reduction, and system efficiency, helping enhance the overall performance of mechanical systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 3 years of experience designing tab chain, MatTop, and MDR systems in the tissue industry or a similar field.
- Strong proficiency with a Salid understanding of mechanical design principles, including material selection, stress analysis, and system integration.
- Solid understanding of mechanical design principles, including material selection, stress analysis, and system integration.
- Experience with material handling systems, automation technologies, and conveyor systems.
- Previous experience in Applications Engineering or supporting applications engineering teams is highly preferred.

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams.
