Scope & Details
Working Directly with team Art & Creative Directors, the Sr. Experiential Graphic Designer role is critical to the entire process of developing, visualizing and creating graphics for assigned campaigns and projects- including illustrations, logos, print and digital layouts, print file prep, deck design, graphic elevations, imagery, photo comps and photo retouching. The Sr. designer shapes the visual aspects of each campaign or assigned projects, from showroom activation and production/scenic graphics to websites and apps, advertisements, deck presentations and more.
Sr. Experiential Designer’s graphics should capture the attention of those who see them, further the story of the campaign and communicate the right message. For this, you need to have a creative flair and a strong ability to translate project requirements and brand guidelines into impactful design. This includes being able to work within and fluently understand client brand guidelines while creating dynamic designs to execute across campaign/project needs. In this position, the designer needs to be able to communicate well and collaborate as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- A strong portfolio in graphic design that shows experience in these areas: Luxury, Aviation, Tech, Automotive, event graphics, Digital/UI graphics, Illustration, motion graphics, etc.
- Study and fully understand client brand guidelines to be able to translate across a variety of
- projects and platforms.
- Study design briefs and determine requirements as designs are translated into campaign visuals
- Conceptualize visuals based on requirements, target demographics, and deliverables
- Prepare rough drafts and present ideas
- Stay current with graphic design trends and be able to recommend and implement trends while staying within brand and project parameters
- Develop illustrations, logos and graphic artwork using design software and digital tools
- Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic
- Design across a variety of executions - print graphics (large & small scale), digital graphics, UI design, packaging, social media
- Work with copywriters and creative director to produce final design
- Test graphics across various media
- Amend designs after feedback
- Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing, dynamic and on-brand
- Quality control and check for all outgoing design files and all delivered graphics
- Requirements and skills
- Proven graphic design experience in experiential and digital industries.
- Familiarity and experience with industry standard design software (Adobe Creative Suite,
- Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, Microsoft Office)
- Familiarity or willing to learn to work in web-based (SAAS) co-working technologies (Google Suite slides, Slack, Monday a plus, Figma a plus)
- Light animation or motion graphics skills a plus
- Ability to work with and understand design elevations
- Understanding three dimensional and physical design builds: Experience collaborating with 3D designers working in design softwares such as Maya, Rhino, sketch-up, CAD
- Understanding of print materials and substrates, and how color translates across different media and fabrication build needs
- A keen eye for aesthetics and details
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
- Degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field is a plus
