Seeking an Executive Director for Infinity Peer Support Cooperative
We are looking for a motivated self-starter to reinvigorate and lead Infinity Peer Support Cooperative (dba Infinity Peer Support). Infinity Peer Support, located in Rochester, NH, is dedicated to providing an alternative, non-medical approach to wellness and recovery. We offer a non-judgmental, non-critical, safe, supportive and educational environment for individuals struggling with and recovering from a variety of mental health issues. Staff and members share leadership and decision-making.
Looking for a person who cares about people with mental health conditions. Many of our members also experience substance misuse and homelessness. This organization is peer-led and peer-driven. Candidate must be willing to consult with all stakeholders: staff, members and board. Candidate must be willing to be available after hours for emergencies and understand there will be occasional work outside of normal working hours and in excess of 40 hours per week.
Preferred background includes being a peer with lived experience, non-profit familiarity in management and supervision, grant writing or fundraising preferred. Bachelor’s Degree and/or two years of experience in a mental health field. Human services background a plus.
Some of the Executive Director’s responsibilities include:
∞ Hiring and supervising staff as well as recruiting and training volunteers/interns.
∞ Supervising activities at Infinity Peer Support.
∞ Working with staff to create weekly programming for members.
∞ Promoting programs that impact many members (trauma-informed care, co-occurring disorders/dual diagnoses, Intentional Peer Support, Wellness Recovery Action Plan, Whole Health Action Management, etc.
∞ Providing confidential services for members in crises.
∞ Addressing problematic member behavior and determining the proper course of action in a way that complies with by-laws, house rules and state law.
∞ Build and use partnerships with other agencies so we can make the most of our budget (NAMI NH Peer-to-Peer Training, Community Partners, SOS Recovery Community Organization, hospitals, etc.).
∞ Seek and write grants to broaden our existing funding base.
∞ Maintaining web site and newsletter. Using social media to increase web site and Infinity Peer Support visibility.
∞ Developing and managing a yearly budget that complies with the State of NH Bureau of Mental Health Services, federal block grants and other funding-source guidelines.
∞ Attending board meetings and presenting a monthly Executive Director’s report, in writing, to board members.
∞ Acting as an ex officio member of the board and performing other duties, as assigned and supervised by the board.
∞ Maintaining a valid driver’s license for driving the van, when necessary.
Prior to hiring, candidates will have the following requirements, per NH State regulations:
∞ Provide evidence of U.S. citizenship, or authorization to work in the United States.
∞ Motor vehicle records check to ensure proper licensure and acceptable driving history.
∞ Criminal background checks, including the Bureau of Aging Adults.
∞ Check of previous employment and references
∞ Screened for Tuberculosis according to State requirements.
Salary range for this position is: $60,000-$65,000 per year. We offer an excellent benefits package including paid time off, health and dental insurance benefits and retirement contribution.
