Personal Wellness Coach

Our fitness studio is growing quickly, and we need a personal trainer to help our customers achieve their fitness goals. You'll be assessing our customers' fitness levels, creating personalized training routines, and ensuring they're utilizing equipment properly. This role requires outstanding customer service skills as well as a love for exercise and helping others improve their health and wellness. $45,000 - $65,000 yearly

Responsibilities:

• Customize training routines to assist clients in achieving their fitness goals while staying within their current physical capabilities
• Uphold all gym standards and safety rules to keep clients safe and comfortable while they workout
• Ensure all workout programs are appropriate for each client by doing individualized fitness evaluations
• Revise fitness plans based on clients’ progress toward set goals
• Teach clients proper technique for all exercises, especially those requiring more complex equipment, to reduce injury risk

• Create and demonstrate safe and effective resistance training and cardio programs for clients according to their fitness level and goals
• Update and review client files, prepare for upcoming workouts, and proactively schedule client re-assessments and goal-setting sessions every 4 to 8 weeks
• Continuously strive for excellence in delivering the IPT Experience
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic while going above and beyond for both our clients and team
• Hold clients accountable to follow through towards reaching their goals while communicating with them in a professional and friendly manner
• Demonstrates a strong focus on putting the client first with exceptional customer service experience
• Be detailed in tracking client progress and goals
• Motivate and coach 25 sessions per week

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients and other team members
• Possesses strong organizational and time management skills

• A Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, or Exercise science preferred
• Nationally recognized personal training certification preferred (ACE, ACSM, NASM, NSCA, ISSA, etc.)
• Has a minimum of 1 to 2 Years of programming design and training experience (preferred) and prior experience with leading group fitness a plus
