Job Summary
The Nursing Supervisor will oversee the nursing staff and patient care within a healthcare facility, ensuring high-quality services are provided. This role requires a strong background in nursing practices and leadership skills.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate nursing staff activities
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and protocols
- Conduct patient assessments and develop care plans
- Monitor patient progress and update medical records
- Provide guidance on complex patient cases
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
- Utilize knowledge of critical care, emergency medicine, and physiology in decision-making
- Perform catheterizations, laboratory work, sonography, and other nursing procedures as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field
- Active RN license
- Proven experience in a nursing supervisory role
- Strong understanding of DRG coding and patient care standards
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to assess patients' needs accurately
- Knowledge of nursing home operations and best practices
