Position Overview
The Finance Assistant is responsible for supporting the Finance department with administrative and transactional tasks related to billing, invoicing, revenue reporting, and contract modifications. This role ensures accuracy in financial records and assists with maintaining organized and up-to-date documentation to support company operations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Process and manage billing and invoicing transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely submission
- Assist in preparing revenue reports and financial documentation for internal use
- Maintain records of contract modifications and ensure proper financial tracking
- Support accounts receivable (AR) functions by monitoring outstanding invoices and following up as needed
- Coordinate with internal teams to verify financial data related to billing and contract changes
- Assist with data entry and reconciliation of financial records
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies and assist in documentation for audits
- Provide general administrative support to the Finance department as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in finance, accounting, or administrative role
- Familiarity with invoicing, billing, and financial reporting processes
- Strong numerical and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software systems
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of financial processes, budgeting, or project management
- Experience using Unanet GovCon
