Program: Transitional Approach for Protected SATCOM (TAPM) : TAPM provides support for the operational needs of the Protected SATCOM (Milstar Block I, Milstar Block II, and Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF)) satellites and ground systems, resulting in: support of worldwide users of protected communications systems, support to planning software users, support for cryptographic deployments and troubleshooting, and support to the Regional SATCOM Support Centers (RSSC). Milstar and AEHF operational support requires day-to-day core five days a week and 24 X 7 on-call support. User support functions are 24x7x365.
Position Overview: This MPE held desk and technical advisor hybrid role provides System Administrator level of support to operations of the Resource Monitoring (RM) distribution through organic MPE function of Communications Asset Monitoring (CAM) Distribution (CAM-D), as well as by other contingency means if necessary. These roles conduct Structured Query Language (SQL) database queries for report generation and other data gathering functions. In addition, you will conduct centralized MPE Help Desk (MHD) support to users across all fielded Mission Planning Subsystem (MPSS) software increments and hardware platforms which requires Security Plus ( ) certification.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Software Installation for the Mission Planning Subsystem (MPSS) systems
- MPSS System Administrator activities
- Communications Asset Monitoring (CAM) Data integrity
- Troubleshooting with Milstar and AEHF users
- Communications planning for MILSATCOM worldwide users
- Development of Global MILSATCOM Scenarios to worldwide users
- Development and sustainment of databases for various SATCOM terminal types
Minimum Qualifications :
- CompTIA, Security Certification
- Department of Defense (DoD) Protected SATCOM experience
- Protected EHF SATCOM experience, demonstrate proficiency in SATCOM principles, technical analysis, and problem solving
- Experience with SATCOM Communications Planning Tools specifically the Mission Planning Subsystem (MPSS) / Mission Planning Element (MPE).
- Experience in military operations, daily operational support, planning, coordination, and technical analyses
- Project Management and analytical tools: Microsoft Office - Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to maintain professional and productive teamwork relationships with teammates, peers, customers, and worldwide users
- Ability and drive to learn details of software tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Military Satellite Operations
- Familiarity with Structured Query Language (SQL)

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree or related work experience in lieu of degree
2-5 years' of relevant work experience
