Position Overview
Infinity is looking for a highly motivated Space Operations Lead to join our team to provide 24 / 7 / 365 satellite operations support to the Space Development Agency (SDA) Tranche 1 Transport Layer (T1TL) Program. This Space Operations Lead position is located at SDA Satellite Operations Center (SOC) facility in Huntsville, AL. Responsibilities include leading satellite operations support of the T1TL Program which includes 42 Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) communication satellites. Operations support tasks include use of Navy Research Lab (NRL) tools for spacecraft planning, navigation, telemetry, tracking, and control.
Primary Responsibilities
The Space Operations Lead is responsible for planning, scheduling, and execution to support real-time satellite operations. Responsibilities include :
- Provide mission operations support to a constellation of satellites
- Monitor health and status of each spacecraft in the constellation and perform short term telemetry trending
- Work with systems and software engineers to conduct and support anomaly review board investigations as necessary
- Make modifications to existing operations procedures to incorporate lessons learned from in-flight performance
- Support system maintenance activities such as procedure updates and software updates
- Work with a diverse group of engineers to debug on-orbit and ground issues
- Track space vehicle configuration, including both hardware and software
- Collaborate with mission planners to enable manual and automated mission planning during different phases of operations
- Support constellation-level operations, including shift work
- Prioritize individual and team tasks and take the lead on resolving issues
- Coordinate operations with teams located in multiple sites
Minimum Qualifications

Education / Experience
BS in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent. Four years of space systems / satellite operations experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Clearance Requirement
Active Secret security clearance

Shift Schedule
The Space Operations Lead position supports the SDA Operations Center 24-hours a day, 7-days a week, primarily on a standard workweek schedule.
