Job Description:
Full Stack developer for Global Prime Data Warehouse application supporting Prime & Finance platform. This role requires strong technical skills and also involves working closely with BAs and IT team lead to understand the requirements, provide business process automation ideas and solutions relevant to the project; participate in all facets of Software Development Lifecycle covering requirement analysis, design, architecture, implementation & delivery.
The Global Prime Data warehouse is a centralized data warehouse for Prime Services. Implementation includes various data ingestion patterns & pipelines into a common persistence supporting many of the Prime Brokerage Business functions including Regulatory and Compliance and a centralized data distribution platform.
Responsibilities:
- Work in an agile and fast-paced environment interfacing with management, business and senior technology members
- Understand technical and business processes of various front office, trading and settlement applications
- Understand business requirements, processes and specifications required to support implementation
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with business analysts and cross functional technology teams
- Document technical specifications, functional flows and drive the projects autonomously
- Design and implement applications utilizing complex technologies and middleware systems
- Build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
- Manage end-to-end development cycle from requirements analysis, coding, testing and maintenance
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to the problems
- Manage Source Code repository and support production releases
- Full software development lifecycle; inclusive of design, programming, integration testing, UAT and deployment
- Learning intricacies of bank s PB IT workflows & infrastructure
- Ensuring adherence to all relevant compliance and regulatory policies
- Ensuring that all development is completed in line with the Company's technical architecture and IT security standards.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- 11 years experience in software development
- Experience in design and building high performance, high availability, scalable, distributed applications capable of supporting straight through processing of large amount of data
- Well versed in designing large systems and modern enterprise architecture and design patterns.
- Familiarity with Data warehouse concepts and implementation.
- Strong understanding of Data Pipelining
- Experience in the following technologies is required:
- Core JAVA, J2EE / Spring / Hibernate
- Rest Web Services with Microservices architecture
- Distributed Caching, EhCache
- In memory data stores: Ignite, Redis etc.,
- Sybase/SQL Server/Oracle/RDBMS Fine tuning
- Python, Linux Shell, YAML, Groovy Scripting
- Kafka streams, JMS, MQ, Tibco
- Software quality tooling: SonarQube, Nexus, Fortify
- Scrum / Agile Development Practices
- Work both independently and with a team in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Investment Bank and functional domain knowledge of Prime Brokerage
