Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for an Electrical Power Equipment Shop Technician at Infinity TSD. The technician will be responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical power equipment, including low and medium voltage circuit breakers, switchgear / switchboards, MCC buckets, and control panels (experience with UL508A is a plus). Experience reconditioning electrical power equipment >
208V is required.
This role is primarily a shop-based role in Gaffney, SC, but occasional customer site work will be required from time to time.
Qualifications & Experience
- Electrical equipment maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, & reconditioning experience is a must.
- Experience with trip unit retrofits and upgrades is required.
- Ability to drive a work truck to occasionally pickup and deliver materials and products.
- Experience with VFDs and VFD repair is helpful.
- Experience with UL 508A panel construction is helpful.
- Experience with control wiring installation and modification is required.
- Ability to read, interpret, and comprehend electrical single-line and control schematics is required.
- Experience with the safe operation of various power tools and shop tools is required.
- Strong communication and documentation skills are required.
- Forklift Operation experience
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and precision
- Knowledge of a wide variety of electrical equipment is a must.
- Experience with various types of electrical testing primary injection, secondary injection, hipot, insulation resistance, contact resistance, etc. is required.
