Join the fastest growing company in Cascade County. We have one location in Great Falls on 6th ST SW, one on 52nd N, and are building a 3rd and a 4th location in Great Falls. We are seeking competent budtenders who are seeking a layered career in cannabis with cross-training and training management opportunities.
A good candidate for this role will be reliable, customer oriented, with verbal and written communication skills, cash handling skills, effective attention to detail, and understanding of cannabis products.
Budtender's are responsible for maintaining the best customer service experience possible, through the tools given. A critical part of the business operation, the Budtender will have the most interaction with the store’s patrons. Must be outgoing and passionate, very knowledgeable on the products and cannabis in general, will assist the management team with the activities and operations of the store, while abiding by policies, procedures and operational guidelines.
Duties:
- Continual cannabis education including but not limited to knowledge of strains, terpenes, consumption methods, cannabis culture, medical implications, efficacy, effects/high, aroma/tastes/aesthetic, state and municipal regulations for medical and recreational marijuana
- Stay apprised of any events, promotions and special an speak of them with customers
- Packaging prerolls and extracts during all store hours. This is a primary duty.
- Provides quality customer service and demonstrates professionalism at all times
- Greets customers warmly when they enter and promotes a work environment that is positive, compassionate, and customer-service oriented
- Accurately record any pertinent notes that will help provide excellent customer service when the customer/patient returns
- Attempt to obtain additional data for marketing purposes following the SOP (i.e. cellular phone number and email address)
- Verifying proper ID for customers/patients
- Accurately use and maintain the Point of Sale (POS) system including correct cash handling and discount application
- Full responsibility for an accurate cash drawer and accurate cash transactions
- Participate in inventory cycle counts accurately and in a timely manner
- Ensure a presentable presence on the sales floor, including but not limited to clean and neat work stations and well maintained displays
- Completes all assigned tasks during overlap hours
- Make sales recommendations, cross-sell products and introduce new ones
- Bag, box, or wrap purchase after appropriate items are labeled in accordance with state regulations
- Complete Opening/Closing duties, initialing the checklist appropriately
- Refers to “Time to lean, time to clean” cleaning list when there is down time on the sales floor
- Have a team player attitude, filling-in at reception, POS, budtender, or other positions, when needed
- Complies and continues education with state and local laws and regulations as well as established company policies and procedures
- Packaging prerolls and extract
- Checking in Certain Products into the Point of Sale system
- Understanding and implementing the POS catalog
- Assessing and reporting inventory discrepancies
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- Must stay current and adhere to all policy and regulations of the Montana Medical Marijuana
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Must have reliable transportation.
Program.
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must be able to obtain a State issued Marijuana Agent Card
- Ability to work within a closely supervised environment
- A minimum of 1 years of experience is preferred. Ideal candidates will have previous experience working in a cannabis retail setting or cannabis customer service related industry.
- Valid Montana Drivers License or Valid Montana Issued I.D. Card.
- Works in a timely manner and strives to increase productivity
- Knowledge and familiarity with cannabis
- Solid math skills, language, and reasoning skills.
- Basic weights and measurement skills, ability to operate a digital scale
- May be required to work nights and weekends
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand on feet or sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to have extended cannabis exposure, with no adverse physical reaction
- Ability to use repetitive use of hands, wrists and forearms
- Ability to see, hear, speak and write English clearly to communicate effectively with customers, employees and visitors
- Fine visual acuity with the ability to adjust focus to inspect closely, ability to see color
- Normal vision or corrected by use of glasses and/or contacts for normal reading and viewing abilities to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned, or to make general observations of facilities or structures
- Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to meet job and operate equipment requirements
- Ability to twist, turn, bend, stand and walk as required to perform the duties associated with functioning as a dispensary employee.
- Pushing/pulling/carrying, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
Schedule:
Must be available 7 days a week from 9:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M.
Up to 30 hours per week
Pay:
Base Pay $15-$16 per hour Depending on Qualifications
$4/hour with gratuities
Up to $400 Monthly Performance Bonuses
Monthly Commission and Quarterly Bonuses for Performance
