ABOUT THIS ROLE :

We are seeking a Senior Chain Manager to lead the charge in developing and executing our sales strategy across California’s regional chain accounts. This is a front-facing, strategic role that requires exceptional relationship-building skills, a results-oriented mindset, and a commitment to excellence. You will own the account development process, crafting and executing annual retailer business plans while leveraging category management principles to deliver profitable sales and market share growth.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / THE DAY-TO-DAY

  • Deliver annual volume and profit goals for California’s regional chain accounts.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with chain buyers to elevate Infinium Spirits’ presence in the marketplace.
  • Develop and execute brand-building programs tailored to the needs and goals of each regional chain.
  • Create and manage a customer presentation schedule for targeted accounts, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and goals.
  • Collaborate with regional and national RNDC teams to drive executional excellence, presenting business solutions that deliver positive results.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis to identify opportunities for SKU expansion, additional listings, and enhanced shelf presence.
  • Prepare and deliver impactful presentations for quarterly business planning meetings, leveraging data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
  • Monitor chain pricing to ensure alignment with targeted retail pricing strategies.
  • Oversee the execution of retailer programming, including scans, rebates, incentives, and innovative packaging solutions, ensuring alignment with brand objectives.
  • Manage and allocate budgets effectively, including Local Promotional Funds (LPF) and individual team T&Es, to maximize ROI.
  • Coordinate with local teams and distributors to ensure flawless execution of programs and compliance with retailer agreements.
  • Provide training, performance management, and leadership to direct reports, ensuring alignment with distributor goals, local incentives, and execution plans.
  • Evaluate and provide actionable feedback on merchandising execution for Infinium Spirits’ portfolio, driving continuous improvement.

AM I THE RIGHT FIT?

Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, Marketing, or a related field. May substitute equivalent years of work-related experience for education requirements.
  • A strong track record of success in a similar sales or account management role, preferably within the spirits or beverage industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with buyers and key decision-makers.
  • Deep knowledge of category management principles and experience applying them to drive sales growth.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven leadership experience, including developing and managing teams to achieve shared goals.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Industry Expertise : Strong understanding of regional and national chains, sales best practices, and category management principles within the beverage or spirits industry.

  • Communication & Influence : Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of management at wholesalers and retailers. Comfortable speaking to large groups and tailoring messaging to different audiences.
  • Data-Driven Approach : Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable business strategies. Skilled at using data to support and strengthen ideas.

  • Travel Flexibility : Willingness and ability to travel domestically (up to 50%) for client meetings, market visits, and presentations.
  • Passion for Spirits : Knowledge of and genuine enthusiasm for the spirits industry, with a desire to represent premium brands.
  • Physical requirements :

  • Standing and walking : working in retail or conducting field sales requires spending a significant amount of time on your feet; this could include standing for long periods or walking for extended periods throughout the day.
  • Lifting and carrying : this role may involve lifting and carrying product samples, promotional materials, or demonstration equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Driving : a significant amount of time will be spent driving, so sitting for long periods, navigating through traffic, and handling the physical demands of operating a vehicle are required.
  • Physical Presentations : must be able to stand, gesture, and maintain a high level of energy and engagement throughout presentations to clients / potential customers.

    Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $150,000.00 – $165,000.00 per year. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
