Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Coatings Manager to oversee our coating operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of both wet spray and powder coating processes, strong leadership abilities, and a dedication to maintaining high standards of quality and safety. This is a hands-on role where the manager will actively participate in the coating processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Coating Operations: Oversee the daily operations of both wet spray and powder coating booths, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality output.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and lead the coatings team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance and professional growth.
- Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure all coated products meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all coating equipment and booths are properly maintained and serviced to prevent downtime and ensure consistent performance.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory of coating materials and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and timely reordering.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with other departments to manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
- Hands-On Coating: Actively participate in the coating processes, including operating spray guns, mixing coatings, and performing touch-ups as needed.
- Troubleshooting: Address and resolve any issues that arise during the coating process, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
- Training: Provide hands-on training to team members on coating techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a coatings environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in both wet spray and powder coating processes and equipment.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
