Event Assistants Key Responsibilities
As an Event Assistant, your role will vary depending on the event, but your core responsibilities may include:
- Supporting event set-up and breakdown, ensuring venues are prepared to a high standard
- Assisting with guest registration, check-in and customer service throughout the event
- Providing on-site support to event managers, production crews, performers and clients
- Managing crowd flow, signage, and information points
- Helping deliver excellent hospitality service, including food and drink support
- Troubleshooting on the ground and escalating any issues to the appropriate teams
- Maintaining a professional, friendly, and helpful presence at all times
What We’re Looking For In Our Events Assistants
We’re seeking candidates who are energetic, adaptable, and ready to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates will have:
- A genuine interest in events, hospitality, entertainment or customer service
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A proactive and can-do attitude – willing to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and solve problems in real-time
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and occasional late nights
- Previous experience in events, customer service or hospitality is desirable but not essential – full training provided
