We are looking for a motivated and experienced Packaging Team Lead to oversee our packaging operations. The Team Lead will ensure that all meals are efficiently and accurately packed, while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and organization. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with a fast-paced team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead the packaging team/ packers
- Assign tasks, monitor team performance, and provide feedback to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure all meals are properly packaged, labeled, and prepared for delivery according to company standards.
- Train new and existing team members on packing procedures, quality control, and food safety protocols.
- Inspect items for quality, to maintain high standards for freshness, presentation, and labeling accuracy.
- Report any issues with damaged packaging/containers
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
- Manage inventory of packaging supplies and communicate replenishment needs to the appropriate team.
- Collaborate with kitchen and delivery teams to improve processes.
- Assist in hands-on packing duties during peak times or as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a leadership role within food packaging, food service, or a similar production environment.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in understanding iPhone or Android apps and relevant software
- A working knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets.
- Ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Time management skills
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- A strong commitment to quality control, food safety, and hygiene standards.
- Proficiency with basic computer systems for reporting and inventory tracking is a plus.
