Position Overview:
The Florida Department of Management Services (DMS) is seeking a skilled Contracts Manager to support the Child Support Program s CAMS upgrade project. The consultant will work closely with the Contract Management team and be responsible for managing key contracts, including those with IBM (software upgrade integrator) and the Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) service provider.
This is a hands-on, on-site role that will contribute directly to project success by ensuring contractual compliance, timely deliverables, and effective coordination with project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
< class="" data-start="1135" data-end="1178">1. Deliverable Review & AcceptanceManage and document contract deliverables in line with agency procedures.
Coordinate reviews of deliverables and invoices for accuracy and completeness.
Update the Florida Contract Payment System accordingly.
Support the development and implementation of contract monitoring methods.
Maintain financial and compliance documentation.
Track adherence to project schedules and contractual requirements.
Schedule and facilitate meetings.
Prepare agendas, summaries, and follow-up documentation.
Provide updates, analysis, and support to the Contract Manager.
Assist with budget tracking, change orders, and deliverable evaluations.
Maintain organized and complete contract files.
Ensure proper record-keeping for all contract modifications, performance reports, and financial transactions.
Assist with additional duties related to project execution as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
4 years of contract management or finance experience.
3 years reviewing invoices and supporting documentation for accuracy.
2 years monitoring and documenting vendor performance.
2 years organizing and maintaining contract files.
Preferred Experience:
Familiarity with MyFloridaMarketPlace Ariba on Demand (AOD).
Understanding of Florida contract law related to payments, monitoring, and acceptance.
Prior involvement in IT project deliverable review processes.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Strong grasp of contract deliverables, performance monitoring, and records management.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to lead/facilitate meetings and communicate effectively.
Analytical mindset with a problem-solving approach.
Capable of working independently and managing multiple priorities.
Education:
Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Equivalent relevant work experience may be considered.
Salary : $70 - $80
