Job Responsibilities:
Technical Skills:
- Analyze, develop, and document complex logical database designs, logical data models, and relational data definitions
- Understand and apply methodologies and technologies that depict the flow of data within and between technology systems and business functions/operations.
- Identify and resolve information flow, content issues, and transform business requirements into logical data models for both current and proposed structures.
- Identify opportunities to reduce data redundancy and improve data usage trends, ensuring data consistency and promoting the use of single data sources.
- Combine business and technical data to support the creation of clear and concise documentation.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, and Application Architects to assist in agency processes and remediation efforts for the PALM Transition Project.
- Design and support relational DBMS systems and work with complex queries involving multiple data sources.
- Develop and maintain Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD) for visualizing data structures and relationships.
Non-Technical Skills:
- Communicate technical information clearly in both written and verbal formats, ensuring understanding across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Work with clients and customers, such as business offices, public entities, and other agencies, to assess needs and provide timely solutions.
- Exhibit strong decision-making abilities, applying sound judgment to evaluate alternatives and generate recommendations.
- Adapt to changing conditions or obstacles by being flexible and open to new processes or process improvements.
