We are seeking an experienced IT Project Management Consultant to lead and manage complex IT projects, ensuring timely delivery, stakeholder engagement, and compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management methodologies, enterprise system implementations, and web application development.
Description
Scope of Work:
The selected consultant will be responsible for:
- Managing large-scale IT projects, including web application development and vendor-based system implementations.
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Coordinating with stakeholders, vendors, and project teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Implementing agile and waterfall methodologies as needed.
- Supporting change management and communication strategies.
- Overseeing the integration of cloud-based electronically file and pay systems.
- Ensuring compliance with Florida IT Project Management and Oversight Standards (Rules 60GG-1.001 through 60GG-1.009, F.A.C.).
- Utilizing project management tools such as MS Project, JIRA, Azure DevOps, and Microfocus PPM.
- Managing risks, tracking project progress, and ensuring adherence to best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- PMP Certification from PMI (include Certificate # in application).
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing IT projects.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering web application projects over the last 5 years.
- Experience managing large-scale vendor-based system implementations.
Preferred Experience:
- Implementation of cloud-based electronic file and pay systems.
- Experience managing customer-facing application projects.
- Knowledge of RSI’s Government Premier SaaS tax solution.
- Expertise in change management, public communication, and training planning.
- Experience integrating agile and waterfall methodologies.
- Strong understanding of project management software tools and best practices.
- Knowledge of ISO/IEC 20000 IT Service Management Standards.
Technical Skills:
- MS Office Suite & MS Project
- Microfocus PPM, Microsoft Azure DevOps (ADO), JIRA
- SAP & web application development technologies
- Understanding of front-end and back-end technologies
