Position: Desktop Support Technician
Location: Austin, TX 78744
Duration: 6 months contract with possibility of extension
Job Details:
The Candidate will perform complex moderately systems support work. The candidate will work in the Help Desk, Data Center, Equipment Deployment and Print Pool areas.
The assigned tasks involve:
·providing customer support for agency information technology systems
·operating automated office equipment in a personal computer and Mainframe environment
·answering customer calls and analyzing user requirements/needs
·printing jobs in a large print shop
·rotating on call services
Candidate Skills and Qualifications
Must be able to:
·be onsite
·provide technical support for hardware and software
·work independently in a team environment with local and remote teams
·communicate, answer and track customer calls
·multitask between systems and screens
·adjust to changing workplace demands
·meet the needs and expectations of internal and external customers
·performs preventative maintenance on equipment including lifting up to 40 lbs from table to cart
Must possess:
·strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
·problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task with readiness to put in extra efforts when necessary
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
