What are the responsibilities and job description for the Government Proposal Writer position at Info-Matrix?
Government Proposal Writer will be responsible for developing, writing, and managing high-quality proposals in response to government solicitations (RFPs, RFIs, RFQs). This role requires a strong understanding of state procurement processes, the ability to collaborate with subject matter experts, and excellent writing and editing skills to ensure compelling, compliant, and persuasive proposals. This is a part-time hybrid opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs to understand requirements and develop compliant proposal responses.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including subject matter experts, business development, and contracts teams, to gather necessary information.
- Write, edit, and format technical and non-technical proposal sections, including executive summaries, past performance, and technical approaches.
- Develop proposal outlines, storyboards, and compliance matrices.
- Conduct research to enhance proposal content and ensure alignment with customer requirements.
- Manage proposal schedules and ensure timely submission of deliverables.
- Review and proofread proposals for clarity, compliance, and grammatical accuracy.
- Maintain and update a repository of proposal templates and reusable content.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience writing government proposals (state and local).
- Proficiency in technical writing with the ability to convey complex information in a clear manner.
- Excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills.
· Excellent proofreading abilities with a keen eye for detail to identify errors or inconsistencies.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and proposal management software.
