About Role:
As a Senior Data Analyst, you ll leverage your expertise to enhance the quality and implementation of our software products while collaborating with business and technology teams.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Data Analyst, you will:
- Collaborate with business and technology partners to build robust, scalable data platforms.
- Work with client analytics groups to understand and optimize business-specific data sources, elements, and relationships.
- Execute data analysis and processing on Unix platforms while coding in Python and writing SQL queries.
- Translate high-level business requirements into comprehensive, end-to-end analytical solutions.
- Identify opportunities for advanced analytics, machine learning, natural language processing, and automation.
- Conduct exploratory analysis to develop deep insights into specific business areas.
- Utilize statistical and mathematical techniques for risk analysis using Python, R, and SQL.
- Streamline processes and reporting through Python and VBA automation.
- Partner with Agile teams, creating business and technical user stories in Jira.
- Troubleshoot issues by navigating logs, executing Python scripts, and analyzing log directories.
- Work collaboratively across teams to resolve challenges and meet goals.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you ll need:
- Experience: 8 years in a data analytics role, including work with SAS and Data Flux.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Experience working in Unix environments, including executing scripts and analyzing logs.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira.
- Preferred Experience:
- Freddie Mac/Fannie Mae experience is a plus.
- Command-line expertise and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Analytical Expertise: Strong skills in understanding and distilling data into actionable insights.
- Soft Skills:
- Exceptional communication skills for conveying complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Adaptability and flexibility in response to evolving business needs.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in tight timeframes.
