Provisional Associate Solutions Engineer (Remote)

Who we are looking for

Infotech is seeking an Associate Solutions Engineer who will provide technical implementation assistance for AASHTOWare Project, a web-based software application used by Departments of Transportation around the country. In collaboration with a variety of Infotech departments, you will use programming best practices to develop, test, and implement tools to extend the functionality of AASHTOWare Project. You will also work directly with our customers to gather requirements in order to develop custom forms that will streamline their ability to access needed data.

What will you do in this role?

• Provide technical services to Infotech teams including product development, implementation, product support, and engineering to ensure successful implementations and customer experience.
• Develop forms and reports for customers by writing clean and well structured Python code.
• Perform application configuration to enhance customer experience.
• Participate in the Agile development process and regularly communicates status to the supervisor and team.
• Test sample data-sets to check that output from the forms work as intended.
• Maintain code integrity by analyzing clean, test-driven code in order to build upon and collaborate with team members.

You must have

• Associates degree in computer science or related field and 2 years' experience, or 4 years of combined relevant education and experience.

We would like you to have

• Prior experience in software development, technical troubleshooting and problem solving obtained through a combination of past positions, internships, class, or independent projects.
• Previous experience interacting with customers.
• Interest in construction industry is a plus (not required).

Additional Information & Hiring Timeline:

This is a provisional (or temporary) position for 12 months with the intention of the role transitioning to Regular employment aligned with business need and individual performance.
