Role Overview
Are you passionate about discovering better ways of doing cybersecurity, and want to make an impact by improving the lives of CISOs and other security leaders? At Info-Tech Research Group, our mission is to create insightful, practical research that enables IT leaders to systematically improve their products and services. We are seeking a Research Director within our Security, Privacy, Infrastructure, and IT Operations team to help us realize this mission.
The ideal candidate should be able to analyze real-world cybersecurity problems and see past conventional approaches to develop innovative solutions. They will be able to combine their practical experience with Info-Tech’s pioneering research methods to develop actionable tools and guidance that will make a real difference in the lives of security leaders.

What you will do
Research
- Remain current on emerging cybersecurity trends and news to identify potential new avenues for new research.
- Conduct primary and secondary research to develop deeper understanding of real-world cybersecurity problems.
- Follow the Info-Tech research process to turn hypotheses into insights, and insights into solutions. Build thought models, frameworks, methods, and related tools to transform solutions into action.
- Contribute to Info-Tech’s monthly security and privacy reports, offering unique perspectives on current news.
- Turn research into compelling keynotes and other presentations.
