Summary

As a Hazardous Materials Technician, you will be essential in managing and mitigating hazardous waste situations while ensuring safety and compliance with regulations. Reporting to the Safety Manager, your core skills in cleaning, mold remediation, and restoration will be vital in addressing fire and water damage effectively. Your training in Hazardous Waste Operations & Emergency Response will enhance your ability to handle emergencies. Additionally, your expertise with hand and power tools, along with relevant experience in asbestos abatement, will support our commitment to maintaining a safe environment. Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough cleaning and restoration of areas affected by hazardous materials, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Utilize power tools and hand tools for effective remediation and restoration tasks.
• Perform mold remediation and asbestos abatement as required, following established protocols.
• Participate in Hazardous Waste Operations & Emergency Response Training to stay updated on safety practices.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and communication during restoration projects.

Start Date is on Feb 19, 2025.

Work hours - Only one day a week. Every Wednesday from 7 - 3pm PST and 1 or 2 Saturday every month.

Location - Glendale, CA

Duration - 1 yr plus extension

Skills - Hazardous Technician.

MUST provide a 40-hour HAZWOPER active certification to be considered. If the current certification is expiring, then the candidate must attend the 8 hr CE. Provide the 8 CE Certificate as well.

Note : respirator training and ensure they have their respirator to bring to work location due to dealing with Hazardous chemicals and be able to lift 50-pound item as well.
