Job Description
InfoDefense is looking for a Security Analyst to join our team. The person hired into this position will integrate and manage security information and event management (SIEM), firewall, intrusion prevention, vulnerability assessment, security awareness training, phishing assessment, security analytics, compliance assessment and other technologies used to deliver information security services including periodic reports.
This is a full-time, salaried, hybrid work position however candidate must reside within the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. Requires recurring on-call support outside of normal business hours and travel on occasion.
Job Duties
The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable with working independently but prefers working in a close-knit team setting. Successful candidates are individuals that learn quickly and are self-starters. The Security Analyst role has a wide range of responsibilities including:
- Conducting monthly vulnerability assessment
- Implementing and maintaining security procedures
- Reviewing Security Information & Event Management Consoles to Identify Potential Threats
- Responding to and investigating potential security incidents
- Remaining current with the latest intelligence, including hackers’ methodologies, to anticipate security breaches
- Developing strategies to handle security incidents and coordinate responses to security breaches
- Configuring and maintaining security features in Microsoft 365
- Managing and monitoring firewalls and other security technologies
- Overseeing security training and awareness programs
- Notifying customers of security threats and vulnerabilities
- Replying to inquiries from customers regarding email and other potential threats
- Recommending and installing appropriate tools and countermeasures to prevent cyber attacks
Qualifications
To be successful in this position, the candidate must be proficient in Linux, networking, scripting, and Microsoft 365. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential. We are looking for someone with the desire and ability to learn quickly, a great attitude, good work ethic and at least two years of information technology experience including the following:
- 3 years Linux operating system
- 2 years Network troubleshooting
- 2 years Microsoft 365 Management
- Proficient in database technologies such as Elastic Search and SQL
- Knowledge of Fortinet firewall technologies
- Experience with enterprise change management processes
- Degree from an accredited college or university
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Knowledge of one or more scripting languages Python, Bash, PowerShell, JavaScript, etc.
- Experience managing Amazon Web Services
- Fundamental understanding of NIST SP 800-171, CMMC 2.0, or any other regulatory standards
- Industry Certifications such as CISSP, Security , Network . CCNA, CEH, CISA, CISM, Fortinet NSE4, Microsoft
- Cyber Incident Response Experience
- Military service is a big plus
Work Location
This is a hybrid work position working most days at home with occasional trips to our customer's sites in or near Anchorage, AK.
Travel
Limited travel may be required.
