Position : Cloudera / Hadoop Big Data Administrator

Location

Reston, VA (Hybrid)

Duration : 12 months

Seeking a Cloudera / Hadoop Big Data Administrator to manage and optimize Cloudera clusters in a cloud environment. Must have hands-on experience with CDP Public Cloud v7.2.17 , NiFi, SOLR, HBase, Kafka, Knox, and high availability configurations.

Responsibilities :

Deploy / manage Cloudera clusters (CDP v7.2.17 ).
Administer NiFi, SOLR, HBase, Kafka, Knox.
Configure High Availability for Hue, Hive, HBase REST, SOLR, Impala.
Develop shell scripts for health checks and automate alerts.
Monitor clusters with Cloudera Manager.
Execute Hive / Impala queries using Hue.
Collaborate with development, security, and platform teams.

Skills Required :

CDP Public Cloud v7.2.17

Kafka (Streams API, KStreams, KTables, IBM MQ, broker / topic management).

NiFi (flow management, registry, Kafka / HBase / SOLR integration).

HBase (administration, troubleshooting).

SOLR (logging, shards, HA, collection management).

AWS (EC2, S3, EBS, EFS).

Python / R, Spark, Ranger, Kerberos, TLS / SSL.

Kafka ecosystem (Brokers, Connect, Zookeeper).

Streaming tech : Kafka, Spark, Kudu.

Preferred :

Automation scripting.

Workflow management (Hue).

YARN, job scheduling.

Database replication, performance tuning.

Note : Admin role, not development.
