Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Performing imaging procedures in two or more disciplines, with at least 25% focus in an advanced discipline such as CT, MR, Nuc Med or IR.
- Maintaining production and quality of imaging procedures by following established standards and procedures.
- Demonstrating an understanding of radiation dose reference levels, radiation dose monitoring, and actions to be taken if the estimated dose exceeds set dose reference levels.
- Utilizing point-of-care testing for obtaining creatinine levels and communicating effectively with patients using AIDET principles.
- Protecting patients and employees by adhering to safety requirements, infection-control policies, and radiation protocols.
- Maintaining equipment and work area to meet quality and cleanliness standards.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited program.
- Less than 1 year of experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.
- Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) licensure by the State of Texas Medical Board, unless the role is MRI and Ultrasound.
- Certification in two imaging modalities and works 50% of the time in the second modality.
