The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background in medical sonography and excellent technical skills, including the ability to operate various ultrasound equipment and interpret diagnostic images.
Main Responsibilities:
• Perform clinical assessments and diagnostic sonography examinations
• Select appropriate equipment for use in ultrasound setup, following exam specifications
• Explain tests to patients and instruct them in physical positions for examination
• Enter test data and patient information into computer systems for record-keeping
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
Eligibility for registry by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
Certification in area of specialty
Current BLS certification
Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements for specialty as appropriate
