Cath-Lab Nurse Position
We are seeking a highly-skilled and compassionate Cath-Lab Nurse to join our team at Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage, AK.
About the Role:
As a Cath-Lab Nurse, you will be responsible for assisting with all invasive cardiac, vascular, and interventional procedures. You will demonstrate clinical competency, nursing judgment, teaching skills, and a commitment to providing quality patient care.
- Assist patients through all aspects of the procedure, including transport, site preparation, sterile procedure, patient monitoring, and hemostasis following removal of catheter or sheath, and return to room.
- Facilitate effective communication among departmental staff to ensure interdisciplinary and collaborative approach to patient care.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant patient records.
- Demonstrate an ability to be flexible, organized, and function well under stressful situations.
- Collaborate with fellow members of the team and orient as needed.
Qualifications:
- Current nursing license in good standing.
- Associate's Degree in nursing required, Bachelor's preferred.
- Two to three years of Cath Lab experience. Emergency Room/ICU experience preferred.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) certification.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certified (ACLS).
Work Environment:
The Cath Lab is a 3-room unit with an average of 4-6 procedures per day. Shift times are 12 hours from 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM.
