Job Summary
A Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 3 years of experience is needed to work in a day shift, 5 days a week, from 08:00 to 16:30. The ideal candidate will have a CA License as a Certified Technologist, Nuclear Medicine, and an AHA BLS certification.
The technologist should be able to float to other UCSF facilities and have prior travel experience within the last 12 months. Teaching hospital experience is preferred. The position requires a booster COVID-19 vaccination, which must be confirmed upon submission. Please attach proof of vaccination or a scheduled appointment before the start date.
Responsibilities
- Perform CT and PET scans using specialized equipment
- Develop and implement scanning protocols to ensure accurate results
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide patient care
- Floated to other departments, units, or facilities as needed
Requirements
- CA License as a Certified Technologist, Nuclear Medicine (NMTCB or ARRT(N))
- AHA BLS certification
- 3 years of experience in nuclear medicine technology
- Prior travel experience within the last 12 months
- Prior teaching hospital experience (preferred)
- Bachelor's degree (preferred)
Working Conditions
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will work in a fast-paced environment with varying shifts and weekends. The position requires frequent standing, walking, and lifting of equipment. Travel pairs are allowed but generally will not be on the same unit. Married couples may not work on the same area non-billable hours.
Travel and Accommodations
The company provides travel accommodations, including transportation and lodging. However, anything over 24 hours is billable. Modules are completed during pre-start and annually, and transcripts are recorded from the UC Learning website. Guaranteed hours are included in the contract.
