Job Summary
The CT Technologist prepares and performs a variety of computed tomography procedures, providing patient care during these exams.
Typical Physical Demands
- Standing, sitting, walking, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking, lifting up to 50 pounds, pushing/pulling maximum weight of 50 pounds.
- Reaching at and below shoulder level, repetitive arm/hand motions, frequent gripping of an object.
- Stooping/bending, lifting weight up to maximum weight of 50 pounds, carrying usual weight of 50 pounds, reaching above shoulder level, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods.
- Kneeling, squatting, twisting body occasionally.
Typical Working Conditions
- Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
- Exposed to communicable diseases.
Minimum Qualifications
- A. Education/Certification and Licensure
- Current Hawaii state license as Radiologic Technologist.
- Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (A.R.R.T.).
- Current BLS/HCP certification.
- B. Experience
- Two years experience as a Radiologic Technologist in an acute care facility; or one year experience in Radiologic Special Procedures.
- CT experience preferred.
- Experience demonstrating in-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology, well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
