ID : 52985448 Shift : Evenings / Nights Description : Additional Information : Position Description : Medical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Laboratory Technician Position SummaryThe Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS / CLS / MT) / Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) is responsible for the performance, evaluation and correlation of test procedures and assists in the selection and evaluation of test methods. The MLS / MLT participates in the education and professional development of laboratory personnel, new employees and students and may participate in the performance of routine administrative and non-routine technical functions.Medical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Laboratory Technician Position Requirements2 year Associates degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT)or 4 year Bachelors degree in Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS)or meets one of the eligibility requirements as listed with ASCP for certification as an MLT or MLSEntry LevelMedical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Laboratory Work ScheduleThe Laboratory is staffed seven days a week, twenty-four hours per day.Personnel may be assigned to work mostly one shift or may have a rotational schedule consisting of duty on day, evening and night shifts.
