Types of procedures required.Standard RPN III duties/skills. Knowledgeable in surgical pre/postoperative care.Equipment utilized in the unit/dept.Vital signs machines; IV & PCA pumps; EMR charting; Pyxis. Chest tubes, suctions, SCDs.Required skills and minimum years of experience.Standard RPN III skills (at least 1-2 yrs. experience) in order to be proficient in duties and role as a registered nurse; strong work experience in pre/postoperative nursing i.e., abdominal surgeries, like lap chole/Appy, resections, and mastectomies, thyroidectomies, chest tubes, different drainages, etc. Also, orthopedic nursing, like hip/shoulder arthroplasties, etc.Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required.REQUIRED: BLS.
