QualificationsGrad of an Accredited ProgramSpecialized field of study should be nursing.A current and valid nursing license.Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role.Description for Job Op : Reviews Post-operative instructions with patient. Actively involves the patient or designated support person in decisions affecting his or her post-operative plan of care. Care for patients who are recovering from anesthesia after surgery. Monitor post-operation vital signs, assess levels of consciousness, and carefully observe patients for any side effects from anesthesia.Pre Op : Responsible for the admission and pre-operative care of the surgical patient. Records baseline hemodynamic status : gathers pre-operative vital signs; Blood Pressure, EKG monitoring, oximetry readings and documentation of such on pre-operative record. Identifies arrhythmias and notifies medical team members of findings.Same Day Surgery : Assess the patient and resources and plan for the scheduled surgery. Assist surgeons and other health care professionals with outpatient surgery procedures.
