Job Title – Employee Relations Specialist
Location – Aurora, CO 80045
Duration – 12 months contract position
Shift Time – Monday – Friday 8AM – 5PM
Job Summary:
- The Employee Relations Specialist plays a key role in addressing leader and employee concerns, fostering effective communication between management and staff, and ensuring workplace issues are handled promptly and fairly.
- This role requires expertise in conflict resolution, employee engagement strategies, and labor law compliance to support organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Address and resolve complex employee relations issues, maintaining a respectful and productive work environment.
- Conduct comprehensive investigations into employee grievances and provide recommendations for resolution.
- Collaborate with HR and leadership teams to proactively identify and mitigate potential employee relations concerns.
- Provide guidance on policy interpretation, discipline, performance management, and involuntary terminations.
- Analyze trends from employee feedback (e.g., surveys, exit interviews) and recommend improvements.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all employee relations cases and report on key trends.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements to minimize organizational risk.
- Partner with HR Client Services, HR Business Partners, Compliance, Legal, and other stakeholders as needed.
- Medical and religious exemption requests from the seasonal influenza vaccination are allowed.
- The completed exemption request form must be included in the submission package.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Communications, or a related field.
- Equivalent experience may substitute for education on a one-year-for-one-year basis.
- Experience: Required Experience: Minimum of three years in employee relations.
- Certifications (Preferred): SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP). SHRM Workplace Investigation Specialty Credential.
