Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg Telemetry (Nights)
Location: Dyer, IN 46311
Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 36 hours/week | Every other weekend required
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dynamic Med Surg Telemetry unit on a night shift schedule. This position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population in a collaborative and fast-paced healthcare environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients on a 30-bed Med Surg Telemetry unit
- Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes to healthcare team
- Administer medications and treatments using Alaris IV pumps and other clinical equipment
- Accurately document care in Epic EMR system
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Provide education and support to patients and families
- Float to other units of similar level of care as needed
Requirements:
- Minimum 1-2 years of Med Surg/Telemetry RN experience
- Active RN license in the state of Indiana (or compact)
- Certifications required: BLS, NIH Stroke Certification
- Proficient in telemetry monitoring and use of Alaris IV pumps
- Familiarity with Epic EMR or similar charting systems
- Willingness to float as needed

- Patient Ratio: 5-6:1
- Equipment Used: Alaris IV pumps, feeding pumps, PCA pumps, chest tubes, Pyxis, Vocera, Phillips telemetry, Rovers (Epic-capable mobile devices)
- Scrub Color: Dark navy blue
- Unacceptable Attire: Facial piercings (must be removed or covered), hoodies, artificial nails
