Cerner Build Analyst – Power Chart Ambulatory
Location: 2100 Bull Street, Columbia, SC (75% Onsite, 25% Remote)
Contract Duration: Long-term Contract (40 hours/week)

Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Public Health, Environmental Science, or five years of related experience
About the Role
Info Labs Inc. is seeking an experienced Cerner Build Analyst – PowerChart Ambulatory to support our client’s Electronic Health Records (EHR) implementation and operations. The selected candidate will provide Cerner application support, system optimization, testing, validation, troubleshooting, and workflow improvements in a highly complex, enterprise-wide environment.
This role requires strong experience in Cerner PowerChart, PowerForms, PowerPlans, Orders, Revenue Cycle, Immunization Registry, and other Cerner build tools. You will work closely with clinical, administrative, and IT teams to ensure a seamless implementation and support of Cerner solutions.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Cerner PowerChart Ambulatory Build & Optimization
- Serve as a Cerner Build Analyst responsible for system configuration, testing, validation, and optimization.
- Lead Cerner PowerChart build for PowerForms, PowerPlans, Orders, Medication Build, Revenue Cycle, Immunization Registry, Ambulatory Reference Lab, and Patient Portal.
- Develop and implement custom reports using Cerner CCL and other reporting tools.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity by monitoring system workflows and resolving data quality issues.
✅ System Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide application support and troubleshooting for Cerner PowerChart, PowerOrders, and Revenue Cycle.
- Work with vendors and IT teams to escalate and resolve system issues.
- Conduct system validation, regression testing, and software lifecycle support.
- Follow change control processes and ensure proper documentation for system modifications.
✅ Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Work with Clinical, Administrative, and Support Analysts to improve system workflows and documentation.
- Provide user training and onboarding support for new staff.
- Assist with system access management and security compliance.
- Participate in EHR events, system upgrades, and performance monitoring.
✅ Compliance & Best Practices
- Follow agency IT standards, policies, and procedures for security and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with DHEC security policies, including NIST 800-53, FISMA, and SC InfoSec Requirements.
- Maintain technical documentation, SharePoint content, and training materials.
✅ Continuous Improvement & Project Leadership
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and develop action plans.
- Participate in system enhancements, workflow optimizations, and software upgrades.
- Lead knowledge-sharing initiatives and support operational transition efforts.
Required Skills & Experience
✔ 4 years of experience in IT Healthcare Systems and Application Support Build.
✔ Deep knowledge of Cerner Power Chart build tools, including:
- Power Forms, Power Plans, Orders, Revenue Cycle, Medication Build, and Immunization Registry.
✔ Experience with IT system analysis, application support, and EHR implementation.
✔ Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to collaborate across teams.
✔ Experience in system troubleshooting, testing, and validation.
✔ Customer service skills, online training, and user support.
✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), MS Outlook, and SharePoint.
✔ Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
⭐ Experience with Cerner ARLN, Lab Orders, Work Queue Manager (WQM), and Bedrock for Mpages.
⭐ Hands-on experience with Cerner Report Request, Discern Reporting Portal, and Remote Report Distribution.
⭐ Strong understanding of IT security policies and compliance frameworks.
