Senior Project Manager – Industrial & Chemical Plant Construction

Location : Liberty, Texas (Full-Time Onsite)

Project : 660-Acre Solar & Chemical Plant

Interviews : In-Person March 3rd – March 7th (Houston, TX / Liberty County, TX)

About the Role

We’re looking for a seasoned Project Manager with expertise in industrial and chemical plant construction . This 660-acre EPC project comes with heavy infrastructure, regulatory hurdles, and complex soil conditions —if you’ve built chemical plants, refineries, or large industrial sites , we want to talk to you.

Key Responsibilities

Lead a Large-Scale Industrial Build

  • Oversee the full project lifecycle , ensuring budget, safety, and schedule compliance .
  • Manage contractors, engineers, and field teams for smooth execution.

Heavy Industrial & Chemical Plant Construction

  • Oversee process equipment, piping, and structural installations .
  • Ensure OSHA PSM, EPA, and TCEQ compliance.

    • Tackling Site Challenges

  • Work with geotechnical engineers on soil stabilization (fat clay issues).
  • Oversee grading, excavation, deep foundations, and utilities .

    • Permitting & Compliance

  • Manage permitting, safety protocols, and environmental impact assessments .
  • Ensure all work meets federal, state, and local regulations .

    • Risk & Quality Control

  • Identify and mitigate risks like soil instability, supply chain delays, and regulatory hurdles .
  • Maintain strict quality control and safety compliance .

    • Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the key contact for executives, regulatory agencies, and contractors .
  • Provide clear progress updates and risk assessments .

    • What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field .
  • 15 years managing industrial, chemical plant, refinery, or EPC projects .
  • Expertise in soil stabilization, deep foundations, and heavy civil work .
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA PSM, EPA, and TCEQ permitting .
  • EPC contract management experience.

    • Bonus Points If You Have :

    PMP, CCM, or PE License .

    OSHA 30, Confined Space, or industrial safety certifications .
