What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembly Technician position at Infomatic?
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and retrofit vehicles for major and minor model changes.
- Identify, document, and perform initial troubleshooting of assembly-related issues.
- Serve as a station leader for current and future model builds, including:
- Creating detailed operating plans.
- Training approximately 5 plant assembly team members on assembly processes.
- Communicating vehicle concerns to assembly project leaders.
- Conduct vehicle evaluations related to routing quality, serviceability, and water leak prevention.
- Standardize internal processes, conduct reflections, and propose continuous improvement activities.
- Participate in problem-solving initiatives, including structured business practices, quality circles, and lean manufacturing techniques.
- Ensure compliance with safety management systems and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- 3 years of automotive prototype assembly experience or a combination of automotive experience and advanced technical training.
- 1 years of experience in setting up vehicle assembly processes.
- 1 years of team leadership experience.
- Beginner-level proficiency in CAD software (CATIA, XVL, etc.) for vehicle data manipulation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite:
- Excel (data analysis and scheduling).
- PowerPoint (creating presentations).
- Word (documenting weekly reports).
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience troubleshooting and diagnosing vehicle electronics.
- 1 years of experience working with KPIs for goal setting and process management.
- 1 years of experience performing vehicle evaluations against documented standards.
- Beginner-level proficiency in AutoCAD for shop floor layout design.

Pay: $18.47 - $25.00 per hour
