Overview of project/skills required:
An experienced Enterprise Data Quality Leader to build and operationalize a comprehensive Data Quality program across the organization.
This role will focus on expanding data quality beyond critical data elements, improving enterprise-wide data governance, risk mitigation, and data accessibility.
The position requires a seasoned Data Quality leader who can bridge silos between Business Technology (BT), analytics, and governance teams, drive enterprise alignment, and execute a multi-year roadmap in alignment with the ongoing M&A integration initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enterprise Data Quality Program Development
- Conduct an initial 30-day assessment of the current data quality landscape, identifying pain points and opportunities for enhancement.
- Design, implement, and scale an enterprise-wide Data Quality framework, transitioning from a limited critical data elements (CDE) focus to a more holistic program.
- Identify gaps in data quality oversight across different business units and build a federated model for enterprise-wide data quality ownership.
- Establish feedback loops across the organization to integrate data quality assessments into operational and analytical data flows.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Integration
- Serve as a strategic bridge between Business Technology (BT) and Data Analytics teams, ensuring that data quality is proactively embedded in operational data sources.
- Partner with Second Line Risk, Compliance, and Data Governance teams to align enterprise data quality initiatives with regulatory expectations.
- Lead engagement with CDG (Critical Data Governance) programs, data stewards, and BT owners to foster a unified data quality approach.
- Data Risk Management & Governance Alignment
- Address data availability, data accessibility, and data quality risks in alignment with enterprise data risk management priorities.
- Define investment priorities by identifying high-risk areas where data quality efforts should be concentrated.
- Ensure data quality oversight aligns with ongoing capital integration initiatives and broader data governance mandates.
- Team Leadership & Change Management
- Oversee a small team of operational data quality professionals, ensuring alignment with enterprise data strategy.
- Drive cultural change by instilling a stronger data quality ownership mindset across key business stakeholders.
Key Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in Data Quality, Data Governance, or Data Risk Management within Financial Services.
- Proven experience in building and scaling enterprise Data Quality programs, including data lineage, risk prioritization, and metadata management.
- Strong knowledge of Business Technology (BT) ecosystems, data governance best practices, and data analytics workflows.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders, particularly in regulated environments.
