Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. This position requires strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of database design, and familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The Business Analyst will be responsible for analyzing business needs, documenting requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement effective solutions.
Duties
- Conduct thorough analysis of business processes and systems to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements using tools such as Visio.
- Develop and maintain database designs to support data integrity and accessibility.
- Utilize programming languages such as R and VBA to create data models and automate processes.
- Participate in project management activities to ensure timely delivery of projects within scope.
- Vaticinate potential risks and challenges associated with proposed solutions, providing recommendations for mitigation.
- Smash through barriers by facilitating communication between technical teams and business units.
- Assist in the development of training materials and user documentation for new systems or processes.
- Support the implementation of new technologies by conducting user acceptance testing (UAT) and gathering feedback.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role in a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC methodologies and project management principles.
- Proficiency in database design and management; experience with server environments is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets effectively.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as R and VBA is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings clearly to stakeholders.
- Experience using Visio for process mapping is advantageous.
