Job Description:
The Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS) is seeking a Project Manager to lead the agency’s transition from the current PeopleSoft ERP system to the NextGen (Workday) application. The selected candidate will coordinate implementation activities between DHS Finance, HR, and Procurement teams, and the State’s Workday ERP providers.
This role reports to the DHS Deputy Commissioners of Finance and HR, as well as the IT Project Management Office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Align DHS ERP transition activities with the statewide PeopleSoft-to-Workday migration schedule
- Facilitate collaboration among DHS Finance, HR, and Procurement SMEs
- Lead stakeholder meetings and ensure effective communication across all levels
- Track project progress, risks, and issues; provide status updates to DHS leadership
- Ensure training, tools, and resources are available for a smooth transition
- Partner with Workday PMO and QA teams to meet quality standards
- Support testing and user acceptance activities with business leads
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training in a related field
- PMP certification (or equivalent)
- 5 years of recent experience managing complex IT projects
- Hands-on experience with ERP transitions, preferably Workday
- Proficiency in MS Project, Visio, SharePoint, Teams, and MS Office Suite
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
